Rooftop Packaged Units (RTUs) are an “all in one” heating and cooling system installed to the roof of a building. As part of the system, a series of ducts ranging from large outlets to multiple smaller diffusers are positioned throughout the building to control the flow of conditioned air.
RTU systems are highly effective for heating and cooling large open areas and the positioning of the packaged unit on the roof means there is little to no noise inside of the air conditioned rooms. Alongside its low noise level, RTUs are able to bring fresh air into the building at any time to help control the quality of air inside.
